Our Mission
At the Little Red River Board of Education, our mission is to empower Indigenous youth in Northern Alberta to achieve their full potential by providing culturally relevant, holistic education that fosters academic excellence, cultural pride, and community engagement.
Who We Are
Little Red River Board of Education (LRRBE) oversees the administration of primary and secondary education curriculums to Little Red River Cree Nation students in Fox Lake, John D’Or Prairie, and Garden River. The Board of Education (9 members) is a governing entity of the Education department that works directly with administration and school staff and to ensure LRRBE students receive the highest quality education at our schools while protecting and preserving our Woodland Cree language and culture.
